Vespa Dealership Notice

While Piaggio has been in India for quite a while now, peddling the popular APE series of load luggers, the Vespa scooter brand is for what Piaggio is really known for. While the iconic Vespa scooter will be resurrected in India come 2012, with the Vespa LX125, the brand is now actively scouting for dealers mainly in western and central India. In what looks like a phased dealership expansion plan, Piaggio is inviting Indian entrepreneurs to partner with it to set up dealerships in India. The website for the same, has just gone live and here’rs how you can set up a Vespa dealership.

To get in touch with the folks at Piaggio India, you need to head over to their website and fill in the “Expression of Interest” form. The basic eligibility to be able to run a Piaggio dealership is a showroom of about 600 square feet and a service center of an additional 600 square feet. Along with that, reasonable financial solvency is also required. For further details, you may contact Piaggio India directly through email dealer-2wheeler@piaggio.co.in or call Piaggio India directly at 020-30574100 or 020-30574150/51. The Vespa LX125 automatic scooter will be Piaggio’s first offering for the Indian market. Meanwhile, here’s our report on the Vespa LX125.
