Mahindra & Mahindra launched the facelift model of their best selling SUV The Mahindra Scorpio today in India at INR 9.97 Lakhs. Mahindra has rolled out a mid-life update of the current generation Scorpio. The Mahindra Scorpio 2017 (facelift) carries both exterior and interior updates along with additions to the features list. The 2017 Scorpio facelift holds more digits to play with in terms of power and torque.
The 2017 Scorpio comes with wide range of engine options to choose from which differ in variants like 2.5 L m2DICR Diesel engine producing 75 BHP and peak torque of 200 nm paired with a 5-speed manual transmission comes in S2 variant, 2.2 L mHawk D120 engine producing 120 BHP and peak torque of 280 nm paired with 5-speed manual transmission comes in S5 & S7 variant and top of the range variants like S7 & S11 comes with most powerful 2.2 L mHawk D140 Diesel engine which produces 140 BHP and 320 nm of peak torque comes paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. No variant with automatic transmission has been announced yet for the facelift model.
Exterior changes on the facelift model comes with number of changes such as New redesigned grille, Redesigned fog lamp housings with circular fog lamps and chrome bezels, Air intake with horizontal slats, ORVMs with integrated LED turn signals, New 5-spoke alloy wheels, Red lens LED tail lamps, Redesigned number plate area with chrome applique, New aeroblade rear wiper, New aeroblade rear wiper, New skid plate.
Interior changes include Faux leather seats with a faux leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear lever, Roof mounted sunglass holder, Mobile holder slot and bigger cubbyholes. Features list include 1-touch lane change indicator, Reverse parking camera with dynamic assist and Auto window roll-up.
