2010 Auto Expo India: Mahindra’s Electric Vehicle on Display

When most the top notch car companies from across the world are launching their much hyped cars in the Delhi 10th Auto Expo, our very own Mahindra and Mahindra are not lacking behind. They are going to put their electric vehicle on display at this 2010 expo.

The president of Mahindra and Mahindra, Pawan Goenka announced this in a press conference “We will be showcasing an electric vehicle at Auto Expo.” This electric automobile will be on display along with some other vehicles manufactured by the same automobile giant. It will include a host of trucks, light vehicles and even auto-rickshaws. It seems that Mahindra and Mahindra are going to give tough competition to all its competitors. They are all geared up for this and are looking forward to the exhibition.

This electric vehicle by Mahindra and Mahindra is extremely environment friendly. It is long awaited by car enthusiasts in India and is finally getting an opening at the auto expo in Delhi.

The company is also planning to launch hydrogen and CNG vehicles in the year 2011 for the Indian Market. There is also a possibility of the launch hydrogen-powered three-wheelers at some later stage in future.

Mr. Goenka added “We have developed hydrogen and CNG powered g. It could be launched in the next 12-18 months depending on the infrastructure” as part of their future plans.

As reported by us earlier, the company will unveil Maxximo – next-generation mini truck at the Auto Expo 2010 in New Delhi.

Looks like the Indian automobile industry is catching up with the world market and they are surely going to give a hard time to the international car makers.
