Mid-life crisis spurned profiteer Porsche AG seems to have come up with a slip-up. Ina move similar to the infamous ‘Toyotagate“, Porsche has recalled every Panamera it ever built since it’s launch among much fanfare.

The GT car was poised to steer lifestyle four-door ‘family’ car buyers away from the Maserati Quattroporte and the Mercedes Benz CLS and in the process catapult Porsche into newer levels of growth.

Porsche had built 11,300 Panameras and they would recall every one of them to fix a faulty seat belt tensioner. Porsche had previously been awarded prestigious J.D. Power award for rigorous quality standards.

VW, Porsche’s parent company is also at fault as their Hanover plant supplies the Panamera’s for assembly in Germany.

Industrial espionage, wethinks.
