Kawasaki India is planning to launch the 2017 Kawasaki Z250 in India on April 22, 2017. The motorcycle will get a minor facelift and possibly new safety features like ABS.
The LCD cluster of new 2017 Kawasaki Z250 includes Digital Speedometer, Analog Tachometer, Fuel gauge, Trip distance and other parameters.
The bike is expected to come in all new colour schemes which may include orange and grey, similar to those sold in Indonesia. The 249 cc engine though will remain similar to the model sold in India currently. The liquid-cooled parallel twin engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, and the engine is capable of producing maximum power of 32 BHP at 11,000 rpm and peak torque of 21 Nm at 10,000 rpm.
The new 2017 Kawasaki Z250 suspension system consists of 37 mm standard telescopic forks in the front while the rear gets bottom-link Uni-Trak gas charged mono shock absorbers with 5-step adjustable preload. Braking section is handled by a 290 mm petal unit up front and a 220 mm petal disc in the rear both with dual piston caliper. The bike weighs around 168 kg and can store 17-litre of petrol in the fuel tank while the bike stands 145 mm above from the ground level. The current model of the street naked bike at present is priced at INR 3.11 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
We are hoping that Kawasaki is going to play the right cards this time and make this model a success unlike their Kawasaki ninja 250 which was not a big hit.
The front is somewhat similar to the big brother Z800
