3 new Skoda models coming in India soon

At a press conference held on 10th August, Skoda revealed that they would be launching 3 new models by the end of this year. The first will be the Rapid Monte Carlo edition, which will be introduced next week.The vehicle will be similar to the euro spec Monte Carlo which means it’ll have black accents all over, black rims and black mirror caps. The next car, which will be launched later in the month will be the highly anticipated Skoda Octavia RS. This will be the more powerful petrol variant of the recently launched Skoda Octavia. Skoda showcased the international range of engines they offer, however it is believed that only the 2.0-liter TSI engine is expected to arrive on Indian shores that make 230 Bhp of power and peak torque of 350 Nm. The sprint time from 0-100 in 6.7 seconds will make it the most powerful sedan in the category. In addition to this, the vehicle will get the RS styling, including the front and rear bumper, new spoiler and new alloys. On the inside, you’ll get a new steering wheel in addition to a whole host of new safety features. Indian specifications will only be revealed later in the month, closer to the launch. People who want one can book it as bookings have now opened for the same and deliveries are expected to begin next month.

The third vehicle will be the Skoda Kodiaq. The SUV is the company’s largest one and is their flagship model. It is expected with a 2.0-litre diesel engine whose output is not confirmed yet. It could be the 140 Bhp trim from the Tiguan or could also be the 184 Bhp trim. The vehicle will have LED lights and a whole host of features like180-degree cameras. The vehicle will be offered with a 4×4 variant, as seen from spy shots. The company has revealed that it’ll be unveiled in Q4 of 2017. We expect the pricing to be around the Rs 30 lakh mark.

Skoda is definitely making the strong market uphold in the Indian market with new models for the future.
