Bigger and better. That is what the 3rd Edition of the Mahindra Auto Quotient automotive quiz promises to be after two enthralling seasons of automotive quizzing which saw top engineering colleges and B-schools vying for top honors. The 2011 and the latest edition of this highly popular quiz series to be telecast on leading Indian news channel NDTV 24X7 has gotten much bigger than ever before to cover 44 Indian cities, more than double the number that the quiz covered last time around with 20 cities.

Now, what exactly is the Mahindra Auto Quotient?

Mahindra Auto Quotient is an automotive quiz that seeks to bring together auto enthusiasts from across India on a single platform. Through this, Mahindra &Mahindra, one of India’s leading automotive firms, hopes to get more young minds interested in automobiles.

What is the format of the Mahindra Auto Quotient?

The preliminary qualifying rounds of the Mahindra AQ will be conducted in 44 Indian cities. Engineering colleges and B-Schools of a particular city that qualify will take part in another round to be held the same day in the same city. Winners of this round will progress to the regional finals. There will be 20 teams qualifying from 44 cities, to move on to the regional finals.

There will be four regional finals, in the four regions of the country, North, South, East and West. The winners at each of the regional finals will meet for a final show down at the National Grand Finals. The regional finals and the national grand final will be telecast on NDTV 24X7.

Siddharth Vinayak Patankar, an Auto Buff and News Anchor who hosts the popular Car & Bike Show on NDTV will be the Quiz Master for the regional finals and the grand finale.

What are the goodies in store for the winners of the Mahindra Auto Quotient?

The winners of the Grand Finals of the Mahindra Auto Quotient will be taken on an all expenses paid trip to the Geneva International Auto Show, the largest auto show in the world, which often is the dream of many an auto enthusiast.

The first runners up will get an all expenses paid trip to Dubai, where they can go dune bashing.

The second and third runners up get an opportunity to participate in the Mahindra Great Escape, a premier off road event organized by Mahindra Adventure.
