Aamir Khan takes delivery of his Rolls Royce

Aamir Khan has got his spanking new Rolls Royce Ghost registered from Satara Regional Transport Office according to reports. The new Rolls Royce was brought to the Regional Transport Office on Saturday by an agent for getting the car registered. A huge crowd had gathered to catch a glimpse of the silver Rolls Royce of the famous Bollywood actor/director. Aamir Khan requested for a special number for the car which he ultimately got but had to spend a sum of Rs 3 lakh for the number alone.
The Satara Regional Transport Office also charged the actor Rs 47 lakh as road tax for the car. The registration plates of the car read, “MH 11 AX 1″ as requested by Aamir. The number ’1′ was not available in the four-wheeler series and hence the number had to be allotted from the two-wheeler series. The car has been registered in the name of Advital Post Studios Ltd and the address given is building 7D, Silver Valley Society, Khingar, taluka Mahabaleshwar.

Now, the car was imported by Navnit Motors, Mumbai at a price of 1.22 Cr. Aamir was charged a total customs duty of Rs 1.41 Cr. Add to that the cash spent on road tax and the special number and you get the total sum Aamir Khan spent on the car. That is a staggering Rs 3.11 crore. Rolls Royce is known over the world as the makers of bespoke luxury cars that buyers can get customized from the automaker.
It takes almost six months to build one of these ultra luxurious cars. Each car is hand built and the interior is hand crafted in natural wood and leather. The car is powered by a 6,592 cc V12 and can do speeds up to 300 kph which is quite impressive given the fact that the car weighs more than 2000 kilograms.
