Audi is currently busy testing its new A6 which will go against BMW’s 5-Series once launched. The new A6 borrows design cues from the recently launched A7.

The front facia of the car is similar to the A7′s with narrower headlamps which give the car a meaner look. Don’t be fooled by the horizontal divide in the grille. The grille is surely going to be similar to the A7′s. However, the rear of the car will be more conventional and inspired from the new A8.

On the inside though, numerous similarities can be drawn with the A7′s interior styling including materials and the overall feel. Unlike the A7, the A6 will get a rear bench seat to occupy five passengers. Since, both cars are based on Audi’s MLP platform, legroom is likely to be similar.

Engines will range from 2.0-litre petrol and turbodiesel units to a supercharged 3.0-litre petrol. Transmission options will include a seven-speed dual-clutch set-up and the eight-speed automatic introduced on the latest A8.
