The Audi A7 sportback is set to make its debut at the Pinakothek der Moderne art museum in Munich today. However, images of the car are already on the internet.

As its name suggests, The A7 sits exactly between the A6 and A8 and also shares a few design cues from them. The interior owes more to the A8 than the A6. While the exterior is accentuated by the coupe-ish roof-line that merges into the C-pillar much like the BMW 5-Series Gran Turismo.

This car marks the entry of Audi into the ever growing segment of sporty 4-door gran tourers. The A7 will take on the likes of the Mercedes Benz CLS, Porsche Panamera, Aston Martin Rapide and the BMW 5-Series Gran Turismo. BMW has already launched its 5 Series GT in India, I suspect Audi will consider India as a potential market of the A7 and we might get our hands on it in the near future.
