Bajaj Auto, which has agreement with Kawasaki Heavy Industries Group for selling and importing high-capacity engine bikes in India, is looking to expand their range beyond the Ninja 250R.
The new bikes will come in as CBUs as well as knockdown kits from Japan. Rajiv Bajaj, managing director, Bajaj Auto, said: “We intend to launch more bikes from the Kawasaki stable later in the year.”
The Ninja 250R has a waiting period of 3 months which the company is trying to reduce and they expect to be selling 1,000 units a month of the bike by October this year.
