Auto Expo down south : BIAE 2010
Since it’s inception a decade ago, the Auto Expo has mostly been left out-of-bounds for petrolheads down south. Well, some seems to have blowing the right whistle. South India’s biggest auto exhibition will be thrown open to public in Bangalore. The Bangalore International Automobile Exhibition (BIAE) will be thrown open to footfalls starting 11th of March and will be open to public till the 15th of the month.
There have been more than a few attempts at matching India’s premier auto show held in New Delhi every year. But unfortunately, the Vaahan Yatra or other similar shows have not seen the kind of international participation the Auto Expo has experienced and as a result, the footfalls haven’t been akin to Pragati Maidan. The BIAE is set to change that. The expo will showcase the best of automotive brand, designs, products and technology in the expo. Its comprehensive organizer’s list includes Automotive Research Association of India, Western India Automobile Association, Automobile Association of Southern India, The Federation of Indian Automobile Associations, and Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India, Auto Dealers Association and Karnataka Garage Owners and Technicians association.
BIAE 2010 will bring under one roof auto manufacturers, component manufacturers, OEMs, accessory manufacturers and others. The expo is expected to witness over one lakh affluent visitors and business delegations from all Indian states and neighbouring countries. The most spectacular auto show in South India will be complimented with forums, seminars and workshops on the current and future trends in the industry. Fear not, ICB will be there to cover the event bringing you pictures, videos and intel.
