BMW to add ’520d’ to its Indian portfolio
BMW India is looking at introducing the 520d to the Indian buyer thus adding to its 5-Series portfolio. At present, the 5-Series range includes four variants, 525d which we tested a few months back, a more powerful 530d and two petrol variants: 523i and 535i.
As reported by Indian Autos Blog BMW India were surprised or rather perplexed, I reckon, by the response they received for the 530d. The company was expecting 525d to be the best seller among the oil burning variants which also readily available.
Now, after a while, BMW has decided upon launching the 520d in India. The current diesel models have a 6 cylinder engine as opposed to the 520d’s in-line four which produces 185bhp. Stick with Indian Cars Bikes for an exclusive road test of the new variant.
