BMW posts record sales in the month of October

BMW India sold 753 units in the month of October, 2010 beating rival brands like Mercedes Benz who have ruled the Indian premium sedan market since long time and Audi.

“Last month we had a highest sale of 753 cars which is a record in itself,” Andreas Schaaf, President BMW India told media persons on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce. “The luxury car segment in India is growing at a rate of 60 percent annually,” Schaaf said.

BMW India is hoping to sell between 5000 to 6000 cars this year compared to last years 4721 cars.
