Chevrolet Camaro Wins 2010 World Car Design of the Year At New York
At the recently concluded 2010 World Car of the Year Awards at the New York Auto Show at…well…New York, the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro was crowned the 2010 World Car Design of the Year.
According to the jury, the design was a good mix of the car’s glorious past represented with modern lines. Jury member Kada Masatugu Arimoto said, “There is a strong signal from the first generation Camaro, a simple, full of purity, but modern.”
As in a beauty contest, the runners-up awards were given to the Citroen C3 Picasso and the Kia Soul (we think ‘Kia Soul’ is an oxymoron). The Camaro succeeds the 2009 winner, the cute-sy Fiat 500.
