King Chris holds court: Chris Pfeiffer’s India Tour, Bangalore Edition

Welcome to Physics Hell. A place where gravity is laughed at and laws of physics held prisoners. Defy-ers such as Travis Pastrana, Rafal Pasierbek and Ken Block are a deified and at the helm is Chris ‘CP’ Pfeiffer.

Wielding his trusted pitchfork, the BMWF800R, Chris enthralled and mesmerized the large crowd gathered to catch the 4-time World Stunt Riding Champion at Bangalore.

Starting off things was a group of very talented Indian stunters. Determined to impress their guru, the boys from Bangalore put up a great show on everything starting from from humble Activa’s to raging Yamaha RXs and everything in between.

The crowd grew stronger and with a constant chant of ‘Chris!’ the crowd beckoned the German to get things..err..flying, and Chris promptly geared up.

There is no denying that the man is just pure genius. A fearless performer who got the burgeoning crowd to swell and howl everytime he performed some of his signature tricks.

Chris was born in 1970 in a small hamlet called Schongau in southern Germany. The 40-year old started biking at the age of 5, living up to his motorcyclist father’s hopes. Moving up from trail to dirt to stunt riding has taken Chris 35 long years and this experience shows in the way he handles the heavy BMW as a piece of cake, literally. He briefly switched to a moto-cross bike for extended flexibility and daredevilry. During his stunts the only things touching the ground were our jaws.

Chris performed wheelies and a whole lot more till he ‘stoppied’. Jumping over volunteers, 180s, burnouts, one-handed burnouts, frankly I don’t know what these stunts are called but we can largely classify them under the ‘un-flucking-believable’ umbrella.

Here are a few pictures that we managed to take despite being tossed around in the crowd. The videos are cell-phone quality, apologies but shit happens.

We thank Red Bull for this brilliant exposure to the big daddy of stunt riding. We also hope that the next time, we could get an X-games-level performance by all the residents of Gravity-my-arse Central.
