A pair of Ducati Multistradas and Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglios join the Italian Police Force to fight crime and help the public.
The Italian Police force had made news way back after they inducted a pair of Lamborghini Gallardos into it’s ranks to help in high speed law and order encounters. It will also be used to transport organs swiftly to hospitals for transplantation purposes as well. Having a supercar in the police ranks is good for the public image helping to connect with the people more easier and spread awareness messages on safe driving. One of the Gallardos was replaced with a Huracan after being written off in an accident.
And now four more Italian pedigreed exotics are joining the Police ranks with the new Multistrada 1200 S and Multistrada 1200 Enduro from Ducati and a pair of Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglios the Italian answer to a BMW M5 or an E63 AMG. An Alfa Romeo body with a Ferrari derived heart is a recipe for success and the Giulia Quadrifoglio will be a suitable weapon for the Italian Police force.
“Ducati is particularly proud to be able to provide the technology, style, and quality of its motto to the Arms of Carabinieri. I’m really convinced that the typical Ducati sportsmanship combined with the quality and reliability of our brand represent an excellent combination for this job. On behalf of the company I represent, and of all the workers, I thank the Arms of the Carabinieri for the confidence and the opportunity to offer our contribution to their precious work, combining two Italian excellences.” – Claudio Domenicali, Ducati Motor Holding CEO.
The Ducatis come with the colours and logos of the police force and have special sound and light equipment along with CC radio. Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is also similarly endowed with equipment that will assist the Police with holders for the guns and stop signs along with the technical systems to keep in contact with HQ. There will also be special refrigerated compartments to safely transport organs to the hospital.
These exotics will be mainly doing escorting which is a shame to their pedigree as they are capable or reaching 100 km/h before you can say “You are under arrest”. The perks of Italian Police force as there are many Italian fast car manufacturers. Indian Police force could hope for a DC Avanti, better than a Bolero!
Too lazy to type anything, so re quoting from the best F1 driver in the world:
“On a given day, a given circumstance, you think you have a limit. And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit, and you think, 'Okay, this is the limit'. And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high.”
