The Fiat Linea and the Fiat Grande Punto led Fiat India’s revival with stellar sales performances.

Now, Fiat will increase both the Linea and the Grande Punto’s prices by 2.5%. This will make the Linea and the Grande Punto dearer by INR 15,000 to INR 25,000 from January 1st, 2010. Fiat India has cited rising input costs as the main reason for this price hike.

We aren’t too surprised about this price hike as we had previously brought you news about an imminent hike in car prices come 2010. With Fiat taking the lead and making the first move by increasing prices, expect many more manufacturers to follow suit and do effect price hikes across their car models.

Test drove the SX4 and was impressed with the performance of the car on highway & rough roads. Great features…great pricing. The downside being the interior space and plastic used. The music system provided could have been better. Overall a value for money car like all Maruti cars..!!
