GM along with its Chinese partner Wuling is all set to position a new MPV vehicle against Maruti Suzuki`s Ecco. Its been more than an year since GM is planning to introduce the range of Wuling-GM products in India. It seems by the end of next year, Indian Market may see the debut of Wuling CN100.
The vehicle has been spotted testing in India. GM has plans to sell these MPVs under a different brand name, the engine will be outsourced locally. These MPVs will be produced at GM`s Talegaon facility.
The styling looks similar to all other MPVs but it could have advantage of low cost since it is the first MPV ever from GM India. The pricing could be in-line with Maruti`s Ecco. It looks bigger in size with sufficient interior space with the style of its brand.
Wuling is inexorable in Chinese market specially in MPV segment, but we have to wait and watch what it has to offer for Indian customers.
