New Honda 250cc motorcycle will hit Indian streets in 2010 just before Diwali

Honda CBX Twister

Honda CBX Twister 250

Bikers rejoice, here’s a piece of news you have been waiting for ages. Honda Scooters and Motorcycles India has just announced that it is planning to enter the 250cc motorcycle segment in the next six months.

In the next three months, Honda’s 250c motorcycle is set to hit rigorous road testing following the recently concluded bout of intensive development work. While it remains unclear whether the motorcycle will feature a single or a multi cylinder engine, we assume that Honda will launch a 250cc single as it expects to sit in the INR 1.5 Lakh category. We’re leaning on the Honda CBX Twister to be the 250cc motorcycle Honda will launch in India.

This, as the model has for long been Honda’s staple offerings in Brazil, a country similar to India with respect to climes and conditions. Also, time and again in the past, Honda India has been dropping hints about the Honda CBX Twister due for an Indian launch. This launch could really turn up the heat in the Indian premium motorcycle segment with other manufacturers like Yamaha and Suzuki following suit and launching their 250cc offerings.

If you are a biker, you’re certainly in for exciting times indeed. Stay glued for more buzz and remember, you read this first right here on IndianCarsBikes.

“Honda Scooters and Motorcycles India has just announced” may I know who in HMSI has just announced this? What is your source of news? I’ll be the first one to buy this if that is true. I know DNA is the first to come with this news… hope you have got this source from some reliable source and not a copy from DNA.

    Wow! Wow! Wow!!!!
Now that’s some news. Really classic!!

This is the most suited burner I had dreamed.

I feel sorry for people who fall for strapping new age gizmos like rear disk brake, flashy looks and all eyecandy stuff to a neat and practical one like this.
I love the bench seat and the classic front head light assembly in particular(save a lot on a fall). This a no-nonsense motorcycle which is built to outlast other plastic laden offerings. Let it hit the dealer and I will be riding one very soon. The silver twister is mine, mine and all mine.

Hopefully Honda is going to grow up and design this more agressively. If what we see is what we get, then it is a sheer let down and disappointment on Honda’s part. They are always conservative and if they are getting into a new segment like 250cc, it will do them more good than harm to bring in a more aggresive looking bike. The competition is also hotting up in this space and hopefully good sense will prevail inside Honda R&D. Lets hope for the best.

I have no comments for 250 cc honda as there is a millage factor.I have a question to all i.e.I have very much need a Cb Unicorn for my personal use.But I don’t choose the colour.Newly Launched all black version Cb Unicorn is looks really good but there is a problem. At first I was a black APACHE RTR.I think, black colour catch the dust like a wicked kipper catch the cricket ball, like a black shoe, like a black pant, shirt, etc.Cb Unicorn Pearl shina Red(may be a speeling mistake)is seems to me a nail polish colour. Then I choose the space Silver mettalic colour. Please confirm me by E-mail who are read this message,my decission is right or not?
