New Honda 250cc motorcycle will hit Indian streets in 2010 just before Diwali
Bikers rejoice, here’s a piece of news you have been waiting for ages. Honda Scooters and Motorcycles India has just announced that it is planning to enter the 250cc motorcycle segment in the next six months.
In the next three months, Honda’s 250c motorcycle is set to hit rigorous road testing following the recently concluded bout of intensive development work. While it remains unclear whether the motorcycle will feature a single or a multi cylinder engine, we assume that Honda will launch a 250cc single as it expects to sit in the INR 1.5 Lakh category. We’re leaning on the Honda CBX Twister to be the 250cc motorcycle Honda will launch in India.
This, as the model has for long been Honda’s staple offerings in Brazil, a country similar to India with respect to climes and conditions. Also, time and again in the past, Honda India has been dropping hints about the Honda CBX Twister due for an Indian launch. This launch could really turn up the heat in the Indian premium motorcycle segment with other manufacturers like Yamaha and Suzuki following suit and launching their 250cc offerings.
If you are a biker, you’re certainly in for exciting times indeed. Stay glued for more buzz and remember, you read this first right here on IndianCarsBikes.

“Honda Scooters and Motorcycles India has just announced” may I know who in HMSI has just announced this? What is your source of news? I’ll be the first one to buy this if that is true. I know DNA is the first to come with this news… hope you have got this source from some reliable source and not a copy from DNA.
Biker,
With all due respect to you sir, we consider it a privilege, of not revealing our sources, especially considering the fact that peoples’ jobs may be under fire.
