How to make your car sound louder like a Supercar ?

You have an ordinary car and you want more from it. You can add some custom visual graphic designs to it, wider body, fit it with wider tires and attractive alloys to make it look better. But you are not pleased with the unpleasing sound of your car that it makes from it’s small combustion chambers. Don’t worry, here comes some advice for you from ICB.

First of all, if you want to make your car’s noise to a higher level like a high revving supercar and have no budget to modify the sound, then the solution is, take a drill with a small drill bit and drill a hole at the end of the muffler exhaust pipe. This will transform the pipe into a flute. Rev the car hard and listen carefully from both inside and out. If you are pleased then good, if you are not pleased then you can try either making multiple holes or make the existing hole egg-shaped or rectangular.

If you would like to make your car turbo charged but you don’t have the budget, don’t worry at least you can make the car sound like a turbo charged car. A device called “turbo whistler” does the job very well. It is an aluminium device which easily fits inside any exhaust pipe of any car. Under high acceleration, it sounds like a fake turbocharger. In some cars, letting of the gas pedal releases back pressure in the muffler making the sound like a small blow off valve. There are other modifications too, like a speaker system outside, but worthless. If budget is no issue here, then go for these modifications below, which can make your car sound like a rally car (if your car is turbo charged then great).

An open intake without a resonator box, a K&N FIPK intake or similar to that easily available in Indian market, will give that sound, a loud, “gurgle” exhaust note. Before that, take some advice from your mechanic on exhaust/header combos to get the proper sound on your own car. They can show you to choose and fit a good exhaust system. A shorter final drive ratio or shorter gearing which will increase the rev of the car and can produce a seductive sound when you shift up a gear under full acceleration. A lighter flywheel which can make your car’s rpm to rise and fall very quickly. And blow the streets away.
