Hyundai To Use Ipad as Owner’s Manuals In New Luxury Cars

Yeah people…. Technology is growing everyday and this is a new addition to Automotive technology. Ipads can be used to give information in a very easy and user friendly way which can include videos and pictorial representation.

Hyundai Motors America has launched its 2011 Hyundai Equus, a large rear-drive luxury sedan, in US. Equus has been launched in competition with the Mercedes S-Class and Lexus LS.

Hyundai announced that with its new Sedan Equus, the owner`s manual will come loaded on one of Apple’s buzz generating iPads.Hyundai has been always known for its budget cars but with this new marketing strategy in hand, Equus is surely going to get attention.

“They are trying to position themselves as a modern, in-touch, technologically savvy brand”, Mike Bloxham, Director of insight and research at Ball State University’s Center for Media Design, told Hirsch. “It’s the sort of innovation you would expect from BMW or Mercedes, but not Hyundai.”

For those who do not know about Ipads, here is some basic of Apple Ipad.

The iPad is a Tablet Computer developed by Apple Inc. It is positioned in a category between a Smart Phone and a Laptop Computer.

Similar in functionality to a larger and more powerful iPhone or iPod Touch, it runs a modified version of the same Operating System (iPhone OS), with a user interface redesigned to take advantage of the larger screen.

The iPad has a 9.7-inch (25 cm) LED backlit multi-touch display, 16 to 64 gigabytes (GB) of flash memory, Bluetooth, and a 30-pin dock connector to sync with iTunes and connect wired accessories.
