Hyundai Tucson All-Wheel Drive Variant to Arrive in May 2017

Korean carmaker’s Indian arm, Hyundai Motor India is likely to bring in the All-Wheel Drive variant on its recently introduced SUV in the country, the Hyundai Tucson.

The SUV which was introduced in its latest avatar earlier this month, has been launched only in two-wheel drive variants, in both manual and automatic transmission options and the company would now introduce the All-Wheel Drive option in the SUV.

The Tucson AWD is expected to be introduced in May next year and Hyundai is also reportedly expected to offer an all-black interior theme with the AWD variants of the SUV. The Tucson has been receiving quite good response post its launch and around 1,500 vehicles have already been booked.

The latest version of the Tucson features Hyundai’s fluidic design language and the car looks extremely young and sporty and has a dynamic stance. The SUV has been loaded with loads of gizmos and features this time around. On the outside, it comes with dual barrel LED headlamps, LED DRLs integrated into fog lamps and LED static bending lights, to name a few contemporary features from the exhaustive list.

The SUV also gets 16 inch diamond cut wheels, which are quite aggressive in their shape and design and give a rather sporty look to the overall styling of the Tucson. On the inside as well, it is loaded with lots of creature comforts, which include an 8-inch high definition touch screen display at the center of the dashboard, a 6-speaker audio system and electrically adjustable driver’s seat.

The all-new Hyundai Tucson also comes equipped with a host of safety technologies on board, which include 6 Airbags, ESP with VSM, HAC, DBC ABS with EBD. The SUV also gets reverse parking sensors and a parking camera.

The new Tucson comes priced in a range of Rs. 18.99 lacs to Rs. 24.99 lacs ex-showroom, Delhi for the 2WD petrol manual and the diesel automatic variants respectively.
