Lamborghini has registered ‘Aventador’, as the name for its next supercar that will replace the Murcielago with the US trademark office. Now, with this move, it is clear that the new hypercar will be called Aventador. The Lamborghini Aventador is set to debut at the Geneva Auto show next year.

Lamborghini has a tradition of naming their cars after Spanish bulls and the Aventador is no exception. The other tradition at Sant’ Agata is of mounting the glorious 6.5 litre V12 in the middle. The V12 now produces 691 bhp of raw power and 509 lb-ft of twist from as low as 5500 rpm. The Aventador will employ a single clutch automated manual gearbox to lay all this oomph on the tarmac.
