A while ago, we brought you news about Mahindra’s Gio 0.5 Ton pick up. Now, Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to battle the Tata Ace with the Mahindra Maxximo 0.8 Ton Pick up. Though the Maxximo’s rated payload of 800 kilos is 50 kilos greater than that of the Tata Ace, the Maxximo will have an uphill task ahead of it as the Ace is firmly entrenched in the Indian mini pick up truck market as the market leader. The Mahindra Maxximo will feature a 900cc, twin cylinder direct injection diesel engine based in Mahindra’s CRDe engine platform.

This engine which produces 25 Bhp and 55 Nm of torque, will naturally give the Maxximo some cutting edge diesel technology, especially considering that it is a utility vehicle squarely aimed at the commercial segment. As the Maxximo will share similar styling with the Gio, we were surprised to see a decent looking utility vehicle from the Mahindra stable after the downright ugly Gio. That said, style hardly matters in the commercial UV segment where utility precedes everything. In the Maxximo, Mahindra might be having at a decent seller in the Mahindra Maxximo pick up truck. The Mahindra Maxximo will be unveiled at the upcoming Indian Auto Expo 2010.

    The Maxximo looks really promising. The looks are good and judging by the engine specifications, it sure does sound really good for a 0.8tonne LCV. Hope the 2 cylinder CRDe engine lives up to that promise. Also the load capacity of 850kgs will help it gain the edge over Tata Ace in my opinion.

    Respected Sir,

    I have purchased a Mahindra Maximo (Model MAXXIMO/BS-III) on 23.04.2010 from your authorized distributor Bhalotia Motors, Jamshedpur. Money Receipt No. 1759, Trade Certificate No. 02/2008, Chassis No. MA1FA2HRRA6C12837, Engine No. HRA6C12326, Vehicle No. A6C12837, Delivery Challan No. BM/33/10-11, Serial No. A6C12837,

    This vehicle is defective from the very beginning. The speed is not raising beyond 70 Km/Ph and the mileage is also very low.

    On 9th May 2010, the rim of the left wheel was bent. After that I have talked to Bhalotia Motors, the works manger said me to come on the next day. I went to Bhalotia Motors on 10th May 2010, the works manager behaved with me roughly. He said that he would not offer any service to me. He didn’t even touch the vehicle and denied to serve me. The whole day my vehicle was standing in the workshop (JOB No. 18), but it was really disappointing that the workshop did not have proper tools to operate properly. Again he said that he would charge service charge instead of offering warranty period offer. When I requested a lot, then he said that he would reply me within three days. When I said that his negative attitude would affect the sale of the vehicle. Then he replied that they would not care, it would affect the sale of Mahindra.

    Now I am repenting that why should I buy Mahindra brand instead of Tata Motors. My vehicle has been break down within 15 days from the date of purchase. Also, it is found in the market that the suspension system is not feasible in goods vehicle and in your Maximo there is this type of suspension system.

    I am very worried with this vehicle, also with your service provider. The soft voice at the time of sale has been vanished immediately when I went to the workshop for service.

    Sir, it is my earnest request that now I want to sale the vehicle to you. You please tell me at what price you will purchase this vehicle from me.

    Your customer care service is not at all prompt. I have complained on 11th May 2010 at 10 a.m., my complain no. is JE11/0014. The representative said that within 24 hrs my problem would be solved, but till now nothing has been done.

    I am really disappointed to your service. Please take care of the matter and reply me within a day.

    im about to purchase a mahindra maximo tommorrow ive already given the token but after going throught these complaint im really dissappointed and it made me shocked cos i had a very good response of this pick up now im forced to think twice if i sud go for it .

    I have 3 TATA ACE and to my bad luck decided to purchase the Mahindra Maximo.It was alright for the first 20 to 25 days.Then the suspension started giving way and this despite me treating the Maximo like a baby.I only use the Maximo to transport 300 to 400 KGS of wheat to my godown 28 KM from my farm.While the ACE handles nearly 900 KGS+ with ease the Maximo struggles with 350+.
    The mileage is poor,suspension breaks if load is above 350 kgs and engine makes strange noise like it is some 30 year old dead engine.Have taken it to the service station apart from charging me huge bills they have done nothing to improve the performance.One service enginner was blunt enough to tell me that, Chinese tho aisa hi hai sirji.Maximo ka engine CHina se import kiya hai isliya faaltoo time waste math karo.Aap ek do saal main bhej dalo. (Chinese engines are like this only, dont waste your time.In 1-2 years sell your vehicle). I am extremely dissapointed and henceforth will not buy a Mahindra vehicle. Tata is the way to go.Buyers please don;t waste your money using this truck.It is a failed product from China which is being dumped on us INDIANS.

    On 23rd April’10 I had purchased a Mahindra Maximo Vehicle from you. The details of which are furnished below:

    This is my 2nd letter (1St letter on 13th May’10) in the duration of almost 5 months from the date of purchase in order to highlight the problems faced by me because of the vehicle purchased from you. The frequency of my complain letter shows the problems, I faced which effects my business in many ways. First let me list out the problems which, I am facing:
    • The vehicle breaks down merely after 15 days of purchase. The rim of the left wheel was bent.
    • In total 8 tyres are fully damaged.
    • Chassis is cracked.
    • Jack is damaged.
    • The fan was not working.
    • Sound comes from Gear box or Telcrown.
    • Fuel consumption is very high which increases my running cost and reduces profitability.
    • Steering stability is very low in high speed, which makes its unsafe to run the vehicle at above average speed.
    • Air Filter Assy refitting.
    • Pickup is very slow.
    • Starting problem.
    • Door lock is not working properly.
    • Noise in propler shaft and fan is not working.
    • Head lights chamber have rashes.
    • Both sides of the wheels get blocked
    • Problems in gear-box,
    • Steering turn in right side in free hand.
    Again on 27th August break down occurred twice in Jamshedpur-Ranchi highway. After this the vehicle was in Jamshedpur workshop for 4 days. On 11th Sep’10 there were problems in gear-box, both sides of the wheels get blocked in Ghatsila- Jamshedpur highway.
    These areas are naxalite prone which worsen the situation. Since the breakdown my drivers refuses to take this vehicle for delivery of goods, which hits my sales in hard way. My business slowed down as I could not deliver the goods on time and people are losing faith on me. I have become a laughing stock in the eyes of the people as I could not fulfill the promise which I make, which affects my social image. And above all I could not repay my loan installments which leads to questioning of my credit worthiness. I do not deserve the agony which I faced and still facing. You can realize the problems which I face if you put yourself in my place. Since the purchase of vehicle I have suffered a lot of physical and mental harassments.
    As per my understanding the problems are occurring because of manufacturing defects and it will be a continuous process. So, I have finally decided to replace this vehicle either with Mini pickup or Bolero pickup. I am ready to pay your difference amount. I feel sorry to do this but I have left with no other choice.
    My expectations are totally shattered. I am not in a position to continue with this vehicle any more. Please take complain to immediate effect and intimate me about the same at the earliest.

    with respect i would like to tell you about my vehicle mahindra Maximo which is giving me regular problem of the gear .After buying with in 15 days i got the problem and is regularly visiting the Your service center and getting not repaid Because the spare is not available.     I do not own this much hyped vehicle Maxximo but on observation of its movement on road, I must say one can easily notice that the hind wheels should have been at least 1 to 1.5 ft behind for giving the vehicle a better stability on road. I have noticed that a fully loaded Maxximo’s rear portion tilts, raising the front portion up which clearly points to defective designing or testing that was not up to the mark.

    Surely the engine sounds good and the ergonomics are attractive. Time will tell the rest. :turtle:

    I just want to say that ur viechle mahindra maxximo is too good on road but his suspenson dosnt work well after two months of purchase his both front tyres were laid down n tyres get scratched (gisne laga h).     If u load and free to carry ur vehicle then please go to purchase Mahindra Maxximo. It has 25Hp engine and 55 Nm torque and CRDE engine and it also comfort on longer drive due to IFS system.

    i am humbly requesting all of you not to take mahindra maxximo in kerala because their services is too bad and they dont have enough spare parts. if we go to company for ay service or maintanence minimum it will take one week to release the vehicle even if it is for tightening a screw….

    mere pas maxximo 75000 km chal gayi hai model hai november 2010 isme koi kharabi nahi ayi ye tata ace se kahin behtar chalti hai average.speed.look .performance sab record tod hai ye chalne mein car vajan uthane mein shaktimaan aur meri jaan hai .     Hi ,friends am a.barathkumar in chennai am doing minitruck rental services for chennai to all over india ! I have 3 tata ace in that am driving one tata ace ownercum driver! Am doing this all india services by tata ace for a past 3years ! Not even break down in this 3years my tata ace carrying 1.5 tonnes for long distances!     Hi everyone,

    I have 6 TATA ACE since 2007 and I have no complaints. TATA ACE is too good for the commercial purpose.

    I will suggest all new buyers to go for TATA ACE, it is the BEST in Class.

    I know people facing problems with Maximo.
    Maximo is not doing good.

    TATA ACE should be the CHOICE.
