Mahindra Reva announces the EV, REVAi will be available at some selected Mahindra dealership in Hyderabad. The REVAi has the ‘regenerative braking’ system coupled with the driving wheels which produce electricity to store in the Lead-Acid batteries while slowing down or braking. It is eco-friendly, easy to drive and easy to maneuver around because it has no gears as well as no emissions and noise. Perfect for a day’s commuting inside a city or a town.

The REVAi has a ‘boost’ feature which enables the driver to go for more power thus increasing the acceleration. Thus making it a fun car to drive from 0 to 40 km/h in 7 seconds and to hit a top speed of 80 km/h. It also has a ‘hill restraint’ feature which allows enhanced negotiation on slopes. With the help of the advanced technologies it can go to a maximum of 80 km with fully charge.

Mahindra Reva has also tied-up with Mahindra finance which will help customers with a unique financing plan. REVAi buyers can now pay an interest free, refundable deposit of Rs. 1,00,000/-, followed by monthly instalments of Rs. 8999/- for a period of 36 months (3 years) and drive home a REVAi. At the end of 3 years, the customer can either continue using the car by making a final payment of Rs. 50,000/- or return the car and claim the refundable deposit of Rs. 1,00,000/-. Nice because you don’t have to pay money for pollution certificate, some taxes or parking tickets.
