Mahindra Scorpio to drive into the US of A, later this year

For quite some time, Mahindra & Mahindra has been eyeing the US market with their pick ups based on the Scorpio and Xylo.

Now, the Indian firm best known for it’s range of tough off roaders and the Scorpio SUV has finally decided to launch a heavily re engineered version of it’s best seller, the Scorpio SUV. Mahindra will start selling the Scorpio SUV in the United States sometime later this year.

The Scorpio to be sold in the US will feature a monocoque body and a few changes to the existing range of diesel power plants. Though the Scorpio SUV will be dwarfed by the big, beefy SUVs that are so common in the US, Mahindra will position the Scorpio as a budget SUV and expects it to make quite a splash due to it’s stellar fuel economy.

In these times of growing fuel prices and a dull American economy that is still licking it’s wounds, we feel that the economical Mahindra Scorpio SUV could find more than a few takers. Go Mahindra, Go!

I think it is a very tuff competition for Mahindra company to launch both it Suv and pick up trucks. The Suv (Mahindra scorpio) engine is kind of under power, and most people like engines from 200 hp to 300 hp for American roads. I think they can build an engine that has 210hp with 2.5l engine. Coming to the trucks it with be nice if the mahindra with do few alterations with the shapes and also improve the power of the engine like put 3Liter 170 hp engine. Apart from that I wish them good luck!

this z incridible achivement to mahindra family ,definately mahindra will capture the good market over there as per above said jus improve bhp upto 170 ,no matter about looks already looks kill indian market i hope looks can kill rest of indian market ………jayho mahindra india
