Sri lanka attracting Anand Mahindra; Potential market for HCVs & Pick Ups
Mahindra doesn`t seem to be stopping on its way, it was few days ago when it was selected as preferred bidder for the Korean utility vehicle manufacturer – Ssangyong motors and now the news is from Sri Lanka. Mahindra wants to enter Sri Lankan market with its range of HCVs and pickups. Mahindra has already got its base in the country where it sells range of tractors and utility vehicles for over a decade.
Group’s Vice Chairman and Managing Director Anand Mahindra said
In keeping with our long term plans for this region, we are soon going to enhance our current product portfolio in the market with the launch of several new products, including the Maxximo, a technologically modern sub 1 tonne pick up and HCVs (Heavy Commercial Vehicles)
Recently Mahindra acquired the Indian electric car company Reva, the Indian market is set for the Mahindra Reva electric cars, but Mahindra has bigger plans for Reva too. Currently it is also studying the feasibility of electric cars in the Sri Lankan market. After this reva too could go to Sri Lanka!!
