The M3 killer is here. Mercedes has planned a Coupe version of its C63 AMG. It is also seen as, Stuttgart’s answer to the Audi RS5. The two-door C63 will be launched in the UK by the end of next year.

AMG will offer the same monstrous 6.2lt, V8 in the Coupe coupled to a seven-speed MCT (multi-clutch transmission). Officials from Mercedes’ performance car division said the AMG Coupé was conceived as a direct rival to the RS5 and M3.

“We’re looking to up the power beyond that of today’s C63 AMG. It’s safe to say it will be the most powerful of the three,” said an AMG source.

Mercedes will also offer an optional performance upgrade that will boost power up from 450bhp to 480bhp which is 36bhp more than the RS5 and 66bhp more than the M3.

There is even more in store for the ‘power hungry’ folks, C63 AMG Black Series will take over from where the old CLK63 AMG Black Series left. A new SLS63 AMG Black Series will also be available in showrooms by 2012.
