What Nissan lacked when it arrived at Indian shores was a descent dealer network. The lack of a customer service web across the country was one of the prime reasons for the abysmal response it received for the Micra. Now, the company is trying hard to hold ground in this extremely competitive market. Nissan India today opened seven new dealerships across the country thus taking the number of operational showrooms to 30.

Currently, Nissan has presence in 14 states of India and plans to expand its influence to almost 70% of the national territory. Karnal, Agra, Goa, Kolhapur, Vadodara, Secunderabad & West Delhi are the cities where the company has opened shop.

Kiminobu Tokuyama, MD & CEO, Nissan Motor India said, “We are delighted to bring Nissan to more customers in India through our dealerships in the States of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and in Delhi. We are aware this is a very important phase of our journey and we stand by our commitment to provide Indian customers with a full range of products and services.”
