Dilip Chhabria Designs seem to be churning out eyesore after eyesore nowadays. The latest in this flood of car designs is the DC styled Tata Nano. This car looks plain ugly. Yes, styling is a matter of personal choice, but c’mon we expect a design that can be passable, atleast to the majority. DC has taken a perfectly cute looking Tata Nano and has infused it with a huge front apron that will surely make the S-L-O-W Tata Nano even S-L-O-W-E-R. Well, if someone now comes up with things like downforce and aerodynamics, how much downforce does the Tata Nano which barely does more than 100 Kph need? DC has tied up with Jagdish Khattar promoted Carnation Auto to sell these terrible looking kits that include fake mufflers and the works. When will India see some real tuning and not obnoxious body kits? Tuning that is accessible to the majority. The wait continues!

Well, that is definitely hideous. Looks like DC guys have some set templates which they apply to ‘tune’ each of their releases, whether it really tunes the car for better or worse.
Mmmm as i checked on the prior page, this has a 1600 cc motor which does about 200 kmph. In that case what the author says will definitely matter. But I sometimes wonder, whether his aerobics of doing all this crap are even road legal! I mean how could he just add a bigger engine on the same chassis. How many reinforcements will he even give (on the same chassis) its a monocoque skeleton after all. Are his cars primarily tested? If yes then how many times? I don believe he must have even done a crash test on this. Does he even know whats a crumple zone? Its sheer madness and people who adore and follow all this junk are even mad.
The cost of that DC badge would be 95 lakh out of that 1 crore on the price tag. He has created another smaller version of his Imperator (one from his stable) which sucked even more. How many cute looking baby’s is he even gonna molest? I just wanna ask him 1 question, can he prove his cars apart from rich expensive varnishes and some funky fendors and gizmos? Are these cars ‘SAFE’?
I totally agree with you. This ‘tuned’ design is totally ridiculous and senseless. I cannot believe that this is what DC designs can come out with for the Nano. They have taken a cute design and made it into a monstrosity.
