Renault India’s Twizy Z.E. Electric Car Concept: Launch in 2011
Chief Minister of Delhi, Sheila Dikshit, inaugurated the Twizy Z.E. Concept from Renault India on Monday. Twizy Z.E Concept is a new 2-seater electric car from Renault India and the company is claiming this car to have “zero emissions”. This electric car is based on the green technology principle.

Twizy Z.E. Concept has been developed keeping in mid the busy city dwellers and for whom speed & efficiency is of prime importance. The ultra-compact car has a turning circle of 3 metres. Twizy Z.E. Concept is a breeze as far as parking of the car is concerned. The Car is expected to handle traffic conditions of a place like Delhi with much ease & control.
Sheila Dikshit welcomed this initiative from Renault India and was very happy to see this concept. She was of the opinion that concepts like this will be great to see on Delhi Roads.
Renault Twizy Z.E. Car Rear
Twizy Z.E. Concept Car is 2.30m in length and just 1.13m wide.The Concept Car is powered by a 15kW electric motor & has a driving range of 60 miles with the maximum speed of 46 miles/hour.
“They are developing this new technology; Renault is introducing this at the automobile exhibition. They are still developing it. It is very beautiful to look at and they are saying it will take them one or one and a half year more to come out, then we will give as many incentives as we can to such cars to run on Delhi roads which do not contribute to the pollution.” said Sheila Dikshit, CM, Delhi.

As per Marc Nassif, GM, Renault India “First, our commitment to green technology and less particularly we call it zero emission, is obviously a world-wide commitment and their… alliance is the first one who has really invested in commitments and especially on battery technology,” said Nassif.
This Car is expected to have an Indian launch in the year 2011 and will be on display during the Auto Expo 2010.
