Salman Khan gifted Audi Q7 for his film Bodyguard’s success

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been gifted an Audi Q7 for the success of his latest film Bodyguard. According to the German car maker, the SUV was presented to the actor for his film’s success at the box office. The Audi Q7 also featured in the movie where the SUV was used by Kareena Kapoor and Salman Khan. Acknowledging the success of the movie, Audi India Head, Michael Perschke presented the keys of the car to actor Salman Khan at an even held at hotel Taj Lands End in Mumbai.

“I am happy and I thank and appreciate them (Audi) for giving me this car. It is a beautiful car. We have used this car in the film and now they have given it to me in real life also….wish in every film we get a car so we don’t have to spend money on cars,” Salman told reporters.

The actor stays just a few meters away from the hotel where the SUV was presented to him. Salman Khan also owns a Range Rover, a few BMWs, a Lexus, Land Cruiser, a Mercedes-Benz and an Audi A8. Having said that, I really don’t get the point of gifting an actor who already has a substantially large garage. A couple times this year, we’ve seen Audi inviting actors from Bollywood to events such launches of new cars etc. Of course, there are business reasons to this which I may not understand. The fact that Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor used Audis extensively in their latest flick became the reason for Audi to offer the SUV to the actor as a thankful gesture for promoting their products.
