Mr. Thomas Kuehl, Board Member & Director, Sales & Marketing, Skoda Auto India said, that the next in line was the Yeti which we could expect in about 4 weeks.
Well, as promised, finally, the Skoda Yeti is here. The compact SUV will be launched on the 18th of November 2010.
The car will be priced around Rs. 15 Lakh and will be available with a 2.0lt diesel already seen on the Laura.

I just hope the pricing is rite as the package is not worth 16+ on road if Skoda wants to make a mark with Yeti ( The number game as they say ). If you wana sell then u have to be competitive. It should not be as compared earlier with the case of Fabia sell it with a premium price and then after u see no growth,do some cosmetic changes and lower the price. Whats the point !! Start off with a bang…
I see the same story of Fabia with Yeti as well. All the vehicles launched by Skoda are instant hits initially and slowly lost the ground.
Fabia killed by i20,Laura bruised by Cruze.Only one surviving is Superb.
I always hate to read things like German engineering, for every bullshit car.I agree they have some world class cars, not not every.
VW,Skoda,Audi,Porsche all are VW brands and not able to dethrone one Janpanese brand Toyota.
Infact Japanese cars are more better than German.
Yeti with the pricing above 15 on road will bite mud.Skoda should learn things quickly about Indian mindset.Quality cars with costeffeciecy will only survive not Skoda.Godbless Skoda.
Don`t look at past glory of Skoda Ocatavia and price Yeti.
I perfectly agree with mohan.
India is a market where only companies that give value for the money alone will succeed.
This is a country of people who care damn about the commercials or brand name etc.
As i feel or anyone whom i have interacted in my neibhourhood, do not show anything called brandloyalty or fancy brand name value if any product differ exorbidantly with it’s competitor.
Also one more thing i have watched throughout my life is any company that makes an initial hype and sell their products and then wane off dies eventually.
