Spy images show that a Tata Hexa Limited Edition is about to launch. Expected to have a higher price tag than XT trim

Homegrown automotive major, Tata Motors, is about to launch a limited edition of the Tata Hexa SUV. The Tata Hexa limited edition model will be based on the XT trim and will have around Rs 50,000 higher price. It will come with some cosmetic updates but the specs and the mileage will remain unchanged. The company is yet to reveal the prices. Currently, the Tata Hexa price range begins at Rs 11.72 lakh. The fully loaded XT model costs Rs 17.08 lakh for the automatic version and Rs 17.19 lakh for the 4×4 model. The new mid-size crossover is positioned as a premium offering.

Expected Price Increase Rs 50,000

Tata Motors is yet to officially announce the price s of the Limited Edition of the Hexa. However, good chances are that this model will cost roughly Rs 50,000 more than the standard XT trim. Currently, the Tata Hexa price range begins at Rs 11.72 lakh. The fully loaded XT model costs Rs 17.08 lakh for the automatic version and Rs 17.19 lakh for the 4×4 model.Here is the full price list of the Tata Hexa-

Like it can be seen in the pictures we have here, the Hexa limited edition has been caught in a new paint shade of metallic brown. This paint shade is not available on the regular car. The standard models are available in – Tungsten Silver, Arizona Blue, Sky Grey, Platinum Silver and Pearl White. It’s also not known if you can buy the limited edition in any of these regular colours. The new special model comes with some cosmetic updates. As can be seen in the spy pictures, there is also a pair of new LED foglights. Even the interior could come with a new upholstery and some more changes.

The Hexa is the much awaited successor of Tata’s erstwhile offering in this segment, the Tata Aria. It shares the same underpinnings as the Aria and utilizes the same platform. However, the Tata Hexa gets revamped styling than the Aria and now sports a somewhat contemporary design, which still resembles in silhouette with the earlier car. The new 2017 Tata Hexa Limited Edition gets a new metallic brown paint and LED foglamps. There might be some styling changes to the interior as well but we are yet to know about them.  The Hexa comes in a 6 seat as well as a 7 seat configuration.

The interiors are also completely revamped now and come feature packed. Even the base XE trim comes kitted with the presence of projector headlamps, dual airbags, ABS, EBD and a non-touchscreen Harman system, paired with 6-speakers. The XM and the XT variants come with a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which also comes paired to a 10-speaker JBL sound system in the top-end XT trim. Safety kit includes the presence of 6 airbags, ESP, Traction Control as well as, Hill Hold and Hill Decent Control systems.

The Hexa comes powered by a 2.2-litre Varicor diesel engine, which generates 154 BHP of peak power and 400Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, along with the option of a 6-speed automatic transmission option, which is available in the mid XM and the top XT trims.

Tata Motors has equipped the Hexa with 4 Super Drive modes, namely, Dynamic, Rough Road, Automatic and Comfort. These switchable modes alter the suspension settings and allow for the best ride quality according to the terrain below the crossover.

There are no changes in terms of dimensions. The new Tata Hexa Limited Edition measures 4,788 mm in length, 1,903 mm in width and 1,791 mm in height. The Hexa enjoys a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. The SUV has a ground clearance of 200 mm and a fuel tank capacity of 60-litres.
