Tata Hexa Might Be Launched With a Rs. 12.30 Lac Price Tag!

Homegrown automotive major, Tata Motors is all set to launch its upcoming Tata Hexa crossover in the Indian market.

This new mid-size crossover offering from the stables of the automaker is going to be placed as a premium product in the sub-20 lac rupee SUV segment in the country and if the rumors come out to be true. the Hexa, which is slated for a January 18 launch might just get introduced at a price tag of Rs. 12.30 lacs ex-showroom for its base variant.

Tata Motors reportedly displayed the price tag of the Hexa on its website along with the notifications for the commencement of bookings for the crossover on its official website. However, the company went on to pull down the banner soon after. Hence, there is a strong possibility of the Hexa coming out at this price point, which would be a rather fabulous pricing for the crossover.

The Hexa is going to be the successor of Tata’s erstwhile offering in this segment, the Tata Aria. It shares the same underpinnings as the Aria and utilizes the same platform. However, the Tata Hexa gets revamped styling than the Aria and now sports a somewhat contemporary design, which still resembles in silhouette with the earlier car. The interiors are also completely revamped now and come feature packed with options such as getting a 5-inch touch screen infotainment system, along with getting JBL speakers in the higher trims.

The Tata Hexa will come powered by a 2.2-litre Varicor diesel engine, which will generate 154 BHP of peak power and 400Nm of peak torque. The engine will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, along with the option of a 6-speed automatic transmission option.

The Hexa, when launched, is supposed to rival head on with its another of its main Indian rival, the Mahindra XUV 500.
