Tata Motors today announced increase in prices of the world’s cheapest production car by 3-4 %. The price revision comes in as a result of the steep increase in inputs costs.

Company has started informing customers who have already booked their cars. Although, the first one lakh customers are safe from the price revision and will get their cars at the same pricing as was during their booking.

“Despite a steep increase in input prices, their (retainee-customers) Tata Nanos are being priced only three- four per cent higher, depending on the model, than the price announced at launch,” the company said in a statement.

With their new facility in Sanand starting manufacturing ahead of time delivery of cars to the customers who retained their bookings has started and the company will soon be accepting fresh bookings.
