Tata to start Nano bookings from 15th August 2010

Tata motors have something special this month to celebrate Independence day with its customers. The car maker, which had earlier started bookings of the Nano in Kerala to ride on the string demand before Onam, has decided to start the bookings nationwide.
According to Autocar India, company will be reopening the bookings of the world’s cheapest car this month. With company’s Sanand plant going on stream, Tata is confident to deliver the car to its customers on time.
P Telang, MD — India operations, said that the plan is to touch the peak capacity of producing 20,000 Nanos in Sanand by March 2011. If strong retail sales continue, then Tata Motors is all set to become the second largest car maker in India by then.
