Tata Tiago Wizz special edition to launch at a slight price premium over the XT model. Will have same features, specs, and mileage
The Tata Tiago was launched in April 2016. Since then, the car has brought many new customers under the Tata umbrella. It won’t be wrong to say that the Tiago has garnered more success than the likes of Bolt and Vista. Tata recently launched the new XTA trim for the Tiago AMT and now, the manufacturer is preparing to launch a new special edition of its popular hatchback. Christened as the Tata Tiago Wizz, the new car gets a handful of styling updates for enhanced visual appeal. The new special edition is based on the XT trim and hence, gets many features such a Harmon 8-speak audio system and reverse parking sensors. Prices are expected to be up to Rs 15,000 higher than the standard XT variant. The new Tata Tiago Wizz will be available in both petrol and diesel engine variants. Specs and mileage will remain unchanged.
The new Tata Tiago Wizz will get a handful of styling updates for the exterior and the interior. While the exterior will get things like a black roof and black outside rear view mirrors, the interior will get a new red and black upholstery along with gloss red dashboard trim. The exterior will also get limited edition and Wizz badges. Other than this, there won’t be any change in the way the car looks. We are not sure but speculations abound that Tata will not provide electrically adjustment for ORVMs and even the vanity mirror on the sun visor. This could be a hint of the Wizz being a slightly pocket-friendly model. Like we told you, there won’t be a change in the specs and mileage. This is because the car will continue to boast 1.2-litre Petrol Revotron and 1.05-litre Diesel Revotorq engines. While both the engines come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, the petrol engine also provides an option of AMT on the XT trim. It’s not known if the AMT would be available on the XT Wizz special edition as well.
Tata Tiago Wizz Launch Date
The launch of the Tata Tiago Wizz will happen next month. This should help the new special edition Tiago to benefit from higher sales during the auspicious festival period. It also means the launch of the Wizz would happen within a month of the launch of the Tata Tiago XTA AMT model.
Tata Tiago Wizz Price in India
Rs 4.50 lakh
Rs 5.35 lakh
The special edition of the Tiago is based on the XT trim. It will even miss out on some of the features that the XT trim offers. This should lead to a very competitive pricing. We expect the petrol model to cost just Rs 4.5 lakh while the diesel model could cost Rs 5.35 lakh. Compared to the regular trim, this will be only about Rs 15,000 more. Back at the time of its launch, the Tiago won everybody’s hearts with killer pricing. Even the Wizz special edition will have a very attractive price tag. It will be still cheaper than its immediate rival – the Hyundai Grand i10.
Ther won’t be any change in the specs of the new special edition Tiago. The new 2017 Tata Tiago Wizz will offer a choice between a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Petrol and a 1.05-litre, 3-cylinder Diesel engine. Both the engines come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The petrol engine also gets an AMT on select trims but it’s not sure if the Wizz would also get it.
Tata Tiago Wizz Mileage
As the specs will remain the same, even the mileage of the Wizz will be same as regular models. The petrol model will offer up to 23.84 kmpl. The diesel will offer 27.28 kmpl.
