Volkswagen Polo India

The Volkswagen Polo will sit at the premium end of the small car segment and here are a few specifications the Polo will come with. The Volkswagen Polo will come with the choice of two powerplants, a petrol and a diesel engine. The petrol engine will displace 1.2 litres and will produce 75 bhp of power at 5400rpm, with 110nm churned out at 3750rpm. The diesel engine too, will produce 75bhp@4200rpm with a torque number of 180nm@2000rpm.

A five speed gearbox will transmit power to the Polo’s 15 inch front wheels. ABS will be standard across all models with two airbags rounding off the list of safety equipment on the premium small car. Meanwhile, the Volkswagen Polo will be available in three trim levels. Prices could range from INR 6-7 lakhs and the first customer deliveries are expected to start sometime in March, 2010.
