The Fazer25 is a full fairing model that will mainly compete against the Bajaj Pulsar RS200. Yamaha Fazer25 Review

In the following sections, we review the price, specifications, mileage and other details of the new motorcycle.

City Fazer25 (ex-showroom price)
Delhi Rs 1,29,335
Mumbai Rs 1,28,335

The new 250cc motorcycle costs just Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In comparison with the FZ25, the new Fazer costs Rs 10,000 more. The motorcycle shares in plenty with the FZ25. This is the reason Yamaha has been able to price this new motorcycle very competitively. Our review of the pricing is such that while prices are pretty competitive, Yamaha should have thrown in at least a 6-speed transmission into the equation. ABS should have been provided at least as an option.

Engine Displacement 249 cc
Maximum Power 20.69 Bhp @ 8000 rpm
Maximum Torque 20 Nm @ 6000 rpm
No. of Cylinders 1
No. of Gears 5
Seat Height 795 mm
Ground Clearance 160 mm
Kerb/Wet Weight 154 kg
Fuel Tank Capacity 14 litres

The Fazer25 shares its engine with the FZ25. While we did hope that Yamaha would at least retune the engine for Fazer 250 cc, it’s not the case. Even for the new bike, the 249cc single-cylinder engine outputs 20.69 BHP and 20 Nm. This isn’t really the best power output we have seen from a 250cc motor. Come to think of it, arch rival Bajaj Pulsar RS200 has a 200cc engine that outputs much more power. Like the FZ25, this motorcycle doesn’t  enjoy a very high power output. However, we are sure it will have the same refinement levels and a very smooth nature.

City 31 KMPL
Highway 36 KMPL

As the engine is the same as the FZ25, even mileage will be very similar. Well, the bike a full 6 KGs heavier, but that won’t take too big a toll on the fuel mileage. Easily expect this motorcycle to return an average mileage of 40 KMPL on the highways. Mileage is a very important aspect for most bike buyers. Even in this Yamaha Fazer25 review, we are giving a high importance to mileage. Like we said, the peak power output of this bike isn’t very high, but the fact that it makes up by offering a good average mileage makes up for the lack of very high power.
