Yamaha India to open 250 “Yamaha Bike Corners” by the end of 2010
After storming the urban bike market, India Yamaha Motor is gearing up to repeat its success story in the semi-urban and rural market as well.
The company has announced opening of 250 compact dealerships named ‘Yamaha Bike corner‘ which will help improve its presence in the tier-2 and tier -3 cities in India.
At present,Yamaha has 430 dealerships and 1,100 retail outlets, which will be increased up to around2,000 outlets in the coming three years.
The company is also aiming at increasing its market share with the launch of its new Yamaha YBR 110. Yamaha India has all it takes to tap the semi-urban market and increase its market share from 6% to 10% by the year 2010.
