BMW plans to sell over 2 million cars a year by 2016

German automaker BMW has already achieved the position of being the world’s largest premium car maker, along with its subsidiary brands of Rolls Royce and Mini. Now, BMW wants to push the envelope further by targeting sales of a whopping 2 million premium cars every year by 2016. These massive volumes will be driven by emerging markets like Brazil, India and Turkey which are expected to drive the future growth for the German automaker. This also means that BMW’s rivals like Audi and Mercedes Benz will have to work harder to challenge the world’s largest premium car maker.
