FIAT Grande Punto 90hp diesel launched

Fiat India has brought in the more powerful sibling of their hot hatch Grande Punto. The car now comes with a 1.3L multijet diesel engine with 90hp of power on tap. The 90hp Punto diesel has been priced at Rs 6.79 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.

The engine is equipped with company’s acclaimed Variable Geometry turbo which the company claims would give a mileage of 20 km per litre. The Punto 90 hp has been launched in the Emotion trim only for now and will co-exist with the Punto 75 HP.

Fiat Linea and Grande Punto Price: Dearer by 2.5% in 2010

The Fiat Linea and the Fiat Grande Punto led Fiat India’s revival with stellar sales performances.

Now, Fiat will increase both the Linea and the Grande Punto’s prices by 2.5%. This will make the Linea and the Grande Punto dearer by INR 15,000 to INR 25,000 from January 1st, 2010. Fiat India has cited rising input costs as the main reason for this price hike. Read more
