Honda To Recall 693,497 Vehicles Around The World
Japanese car maker Honda is recalling it’s faulty vehicle this time around. According to Honda the defective spring parts were found in its Freed compact minivan, Fit ( Jazz in India) compact car and City sedan could deteriorate over time, resulting in abnormal sounds and in the worst case lead to stalling. The recalling of roughly 700,000 units includes 220,000 units in Asia (mainly the Southeast Asian ASEAN area), and about 156,000 in China. Around 97,000 units will be recalled in the United States. No accidents associated with the defect have been reported though. Read more

Honda’s first small car in India, the Honda Jazz never really took off since it’s launch a few months ago. The main stumbling block of the Honda Jazz hatchback was it’s senseless pricing which almost rivaled the all new Honda City. While the Honda Jazz has enough space to rival C segment sedans, it is still a hatchback. Indians traditionally consider hatchbacks inferior to sedans. And this factor along with the high price is what is going against it in the Indian market. Though Honda has always commanded a premium for all it’s cars in India due to Honda’s exemplary quality, the Jazz has shaken this premise.
