Moments ago, a top official from Honda Siel Cars India, Saba Khan, who heads Public Relations, speaking to IndianCarsBikes.in clearly stated that Honda has no plans of launching the Brio Diesel in 2012. She clarified that the buzz about the Honda Brio diesel is mere speculation, with the Japanese auto giant having no plans to launch the car in 2012. So, this officially puts to rest all reports and rumors about a diesel variant of a Brio diesel being launched in 2012. A report of the diesel Brio emerging a couple of days ago even went to the extent of naming a 1.2 liter diesel engine for the Brio diesel. However, the Brio will continue to be sold with the petrol engine for the year of 2012.
