Maruti Suzuki hands out higher dealer margins on petrol cars to push sales!

Demand for petrol cars has slipped to unprecedented lows as the high price of petrol has made car buyers mass migrate to the cheaper alternate, of that of diesel cars. For instance, Maruti Suzuki, the county’s largest automaker sells its flagship hatchback, the new Swift, in a diesel petrol ration of 8:2, which is how skewed the car market has now become when it comes to diesel versus petrol cars. To give petrol cars a boost, Maruti Suzuki is now doling out higher margins to its dealers with the hope of improving petrol car sales.
