3rd Generation Maruti Wagon R to go on sale from 15 April 2010

Maruti Suzuki India will launch the third generation Wagon R on 15th April, 2010. This upgraded version will have Maruti`s latest 998cc K- series engine, Bharat Stage IV compliant with which develops a maximum of 65 bhp at 6200 rpm.

A CNG version will also roll out with the launch of this new model of Maruti Wagon R 2010. Read more

All this, in a move to give the decent selling WagonR a fighting chance at the hustings where newer and better looking cars that are eating away at the still considerable monthly sales figures of the WagonR. Auto Expo Spy-leak:Latest WagonR much resembles Maruti Estilo

Thanks to Overdrive magazine, we have here few leaked snapshots of the Suzuki WagonR facelift. We had also reported about Maruti Wagon R facelift earlier.

Perhaps pacified by the success of Estilo, guys at Maruti seem to have decided to go for design resemblance this time. One needs not be a meticulous car aficionado to spot the differences in Maruti’s second-most-popular car seen in pics and Estilo. We can see almost identical rears; interiors might be borrowed from Estillo with patches from Swift. Chrome finish, swept back headlamps and rounded indicator holdings smarten up the looks.
