The National Highway Safety and Transportation Authority(NHTSA) is investigating complaints about some of the Mercedes Benz E Class cars’ steering airbag deployment system being faulty. The 2005 and 2006 models of the Mercedes Benz E Class models are under scrutiny for a wiring harness in the steering column that could be too short. Read more

Toyota denies wrongdoing, yet agrees to pay the $16.4 Million fine

Even as it denies any wrong doing on it’s part, Toyota Motor Company has decided to pay up the $16.4 Million fine that the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration(NHTSA) imposed on it after finding it guilty of not informing the government about a potential safety hazard caused by it’s sticky accelerators. In another twist to the Toyota recall saga, about 10 Toyota owners have complained to the NHTSA, that the fix for the gas pedals and the ECU remap doesn’t seem to be working.
