The iPad seems to be the phrase du jour. No fret not, we’re not going to take a trip down techno-lane. Trust the Americans to hyena-ize every bit of latest technology available. This is something uber cool though.

The good people at SoundMan Car Audio over in California have, with a little bit of elbow grease and knowhow, fitted an iPad into the dash of a Toyota Tacoma pick-up.

They are yet to wire it up to the Audison Bit One sound processor and the McIntosh MMC406M 6-channel amp that are intended to receive the iPad’s audio goodies, but the housing of the 9.7 inch iPad is done.

The set-up gives out a weird feeling of being forced but this is one cool gadget for your car. Check out the video.
